Start by cutting your butternut squash in half lengthwise.

Scoop out the seeds and stringy fibers and save the seeds for roasting.  (recipe linked below)

Transfer the squash halves cut side up to the baking sheet.

Brush the entire surface of the squash with oil.

Then sprinkle the seasonings on top.

Roast the squash until fork tender. Time will vary based on the size. See recipe for details.

Remove the squash from the oven and allow to cool slightly before scooping out the flesh for your favorite recipe!

Or serve as is.  Eat and enjoy!
