Clam Dip Recipe
Classic old fashioned clam dip the way mom made! Every family has their staple food traditions and clam dip has, for a long time, been a part of ours. When Grandma retired from her holiday cheeseball making, clam dip stepped in as the prime appetizer for all parties and holiday meals. Served cold, this homemade dip is thick, incredibly creamy and always a fan favorite! It is often served alongside Deviled Eggs, Bacon Wrapped Dates and these amazing Lemon Pepper Chicken Wings!

How to make Clam Dip
This homemade clam dip recipe is one of the easiest appetizers you’ll ever make! To start, simply open the cans of clams and drain and save the clam juice. Set juice and clams aside.
Add the room temperature cream cheese, season salt, Tabasco, garlic salt and onion powder to a mixing bowl and whip with an electric mixer. (Alternatively you can use a whisk and some elbow grease if not using an electric mixer.)
Add 1/2 cup of the reserved clam juice to start, to the cream cheese mixture and mix until the juice is combined. Continue adding clam juice, a little at a time, until you reach your desired consistency of dip. Keep in mind, the dip will thicken in the fridge. You can use up to all the reserved clam juice if desired.
After the clam juice is fully incorporated, add the clam meat and use a rubber spatula to fold the clams into the dip.
Cover the clam dip and place in the fridge to chill for at least one hour before serving. *For the best flavor, make this dip one day ahead and store in the fridge. Serve with potato chips or crackers and enjoy!
