Paleo Pumpkin Spice Coffee Creamer

Pumpkin Spice Creamer

It’s September ya’ll! And in my book that means pulling out all the sweaters, cozy candles, fuzzy blankets and yes alllll the pumpkin goods! So today I bring you the first of the pumpkin, Paleo Pumpkin Spice Coffee Creamer. Who’s excited!??!

Paleo Pumpkin Spice Coffee Creamer

This pumpkin spice coffee creamer is paleo which also means it’s dairy free and made with nut milk. I used almond milk here but you can use whatever nut milk you fancy, just make sure it’s unsweetened because we bring the sweet with maple syrup in this recipe!

Made with a few simple ingredients that will feel festive without the added sugar coma of a green labeled mermaid company (whoever that is…?).

Can I use Coconut Milk in Place of a Nut Milk

I know what you’re thinking….coconut is a nut. But nope, despite it’s name a coconut is actually not a nut, it’s a fruit. And yes, you can substitute coconut milk for a nut milk such as almond milk however you will have an added coconut taste. For a minimal coconut taste and smooth consistency, I recommend this one.

How Long Will This Paleo Pumpkin Spice Coffee Creamer Last

I recommend using this creamer within 3-4 days if you are using a nut milk without preservatives. If you are making this with coconut milk which has a longer life then it should last up to a week.

What Else Can I use This Paleo Pumpkin Spice Coffee Creamer For

This healthy creamer makes a great addition to a warm steamer drink for adults and kids alike! Just warm and add the desired amount of creamer to a warm milk steamer and stir to combine. It’s sure to be a crowd pleaser in any house!

Description

It’s pumpkin season, who’s ready to celebrate with this Paleo Pumpkin Spice Coffee Creamer!? It’s the perfect easy dairy free and vegan coffee creamer for fall.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups unsweetened nut milk such as almond milk
  • 1/3 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/4 cup – 1/2 cup pure maple syrup depending on your preferred sweetness level
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice (my recipe linked)

Instructions

  1. Add the pumpkin puree to a medium sized saucepan. To it, add the nut milk, pure maple syrup, cinnamon and pumpkin pie spice. Whisk the mixture together until fully incorporated.
  2. Move the saucepan to a medium heat burner for 10 minutes, until the creamer begins to simmer slightly.
  3. Remove the saucepan from the heat. You can use some immediately and then cool the rest to room temperature for about 15 minutes.
  4. Transfer the creamer into your container of choice and store in the refrigerator for 5-7 days.
  5. Shake well before pouring into your coffee or heat the desired portion, stir and pour into coffee. This creamer works equally well for hot and iced coffees.
  6. Enjoy!

I can wait to make this for my husband im trying to help him to make healthier choices and to get away from all that sugar creamer he buys from the store. But I had a question l was thinking about using 1 cup of almond milk and 1 cup of coconut milk do you think that would change the taste of your recipe to much? I was only asking because l know my husband is not a fan of almond milk. Thanks!

This is a great recipe. Tasty and simple to make. (I did make mine with 1C Almond and 1C (full fat) Coconut milks. To me, this makes it thicker. I’ve made this recipe several times this season. I will probably be making it well into the winter as well.
    Thank you.
